A Poem by Afrose Fatima Ahmed

adele gilani art gallery
we ask for art that makes us blind
to the masks we wear as armor
in this world. we find work in
witnessing what is unseen
but not unknown; the paint,
our fingers on your skin.
the brush, your cheeks
under our touch. this rush
of color & movement, a conversation
between canvases you are invited
to dance in. this, our way
of intimacy with the world.
